Franklin County Medical Center is a local icon that prioritizes patient-centric care. Located in the heart of Preston, Idaho, FCMC is a 20-bed Critical Access Hospital with an attached 35-bed skilled nursing facility. We have served the Franklin County community since 1929, always providing quality professional care each patient can trust. In addition, as the second-largest employer in Franklin County, FCMC is truly committed to improving the community in as many ways as possible.

The Larsen-Sant Library provides materials and services of interest to the community that emphasize and encourage independent learning and reading by adults and children.

The Southeast Idaho High Country Tourism (previously known as the Pioneer Country Travel Council) is supported by the Idaho Travel Council. It is funded through a two percent (2%) tax on the sale of hotels, motels, and private campground accommodations. We promote tourism in Region 5 which includes Power, Oneida, Bannock, Bingham, Caribou, Bear Lake, & Franklin Counties.

Franklin County is a very diverse place, known as one of the finest snowmobile areas in the country. Where riders can climb some of the most demanding mountains around or simply take the family on a groomed trail.

The Preston Area Chamber of Commerce promotes the economic and commercial interests of Franklin County for the prosperity of members and the community. The Idaho Festival of Lights has grown, over the years, thanks to financial and other support from many groups and businesses, and the many volunteers who lend a hand in planning the events.
It now draws visitors from all over Idaho, Utah and Wyoming. Many former residents of Preston still travel back for the Festival.

Bear River Head Start is an educational non-profit organization. Head Start serves pregnant women and families with children 0-5 years old. Promotes children’s development through services that support learning health and family well-being in Northern Utah and Southern Idaho.
